About Wise statements

Wise statements are multi-currency by design, and each currency balance gets its own statement. Conversions appear on both sides, which is exactly where manual bookkeeping goes wrong.

How to download your Wise statement as a PDF

Sign in at wise.com, open Balances, choose Statements, select the currency and period, and download the PDF.

Always take the statement file the bank issues rather than printing a transaction list from the browser. The issued statement is the document of record, and it converts more reliably than a printed page.

What a Wise statement looks like

A per-currency statement lists dated activity with description, incoming or outgoing amount, and the running balance in that currency.

Wise quirks to watch for

These are the details that break a copy-paste into Excel, and the reason a Wise statement rarely lands cleanly on the first try:

  • One statement covers one currency, so a multi-currency account needs several conversions.
  • Currency conversions post as an outgoing on one balance and an incoming on another.
  • Wise fees are itemised per transfer.
  • UK statements print dates day first, so 03/04 is the third of April. Dates are normalised on export so Excel cannot silently read them as March 4th.

What you get back

Every Wise conversion returns the same columns, in GBP, so statements from different months and different accounts stack in one spreadsheet without rework:

DateDescriptionAmountBalance
2026-03-04CARD PAYMENT TO SUPERMARKET-64.202,481.19

Check the export before you use it: opening balance plus the sum of the amount column should equal the closing balance printed on your Wise statement.

Why not just export from Wise directly?

Use the direct export when it covers the period you need. It rarely does. Direct CSV, OFX and QBO downloads are usually capped at a recent window, while PDF statements stay available for years, and they are the only thing left once an account is closed. Converting the PDF removes the date limit entirely.

Frequently asked questions

+How do I get all my Wise currencies into one sheet?

Convert each currency statement, then add a currency column when you stack them so nothing is summed across currencies by accident.

+Are transfer fees included?

Yes, fee lines are exported as their own dated rows.

+Is the Wise statement converter free?

Yes. No signup, no email and no watermark on the output. The only limit is a 10MB file size.

+Do you store my Wise statement?

No. The PDF is processed in memory to build the CSV and is never written to disk or retained.

+Is this service affiliated with Wise?

No. This is an independent tool with no connection to Wise. It reads a PDF you already have and never connects to your account.
