About Tangerine statements

Tangerine is digital-first, so its statements are generated cleanly with no scan noise and a simple single-table layout.

How to download your Tangerine statement as a PDF

Sign in at tangerine.ca, open the account, choose Documents or Statements, and download the PDF.

Always take the statement file the bank issues rather than printing a transaction list from the browser. The issued statement is the document of record, and it converts more reliably than a printed page.

What a Tangerine statement looks like

A short summary is followed by a dated transaction list with description, amount and balance.

Tangerine quirks to watch for

These are the details that break a copy-paste into Excel, and the reason a Tangerine statement rarely lands cleanly on the first try:

  • Each savings account is documented separately, and customers often hold several.
  • Interest posts monthly at cycle end.
  • Legacy ING Direct statements use an older layout.
  • Canadian statements frequently omit the year inside the transaction table. The year is taken from the statement period, including periods that cross into January.

What you get back

Every Tangerine conversion returns the same columns, in CAD, so statements from different months and different accounts stack in one spreadsheet without rework:

DateDescriptionAmountBalance
2026-03-04CARD PAYMENT TO SUPERMARKET-64.202,481.19

Check the export before you use it: opening balance plus the sum of the amount column should equal the closing balance printed on your Tangerine statement.

Why not just export from Tangerine directly?

Use the direct export when it covers the period you need. It rarely does. Direct CSV, OFX and QBO downloads are usually capped at a recent window, while PDF statements stay available for years, and they are the only thing left once an account is closed. Converting the PDF removes the date limit entirely.

Frequently asked questions

+I have five Tangerine savings accounts. Can I merge them?

Convert each statement, then add an account name column before stacking them so balances stay attributable.

+Do old ING Direct statements work?

Yes, the older design is still readable.

+Is the Tangerine statement converter free?

Yes. No signup, no email and no watermark on the output. The only limit is a 10MB file size.

+Do you store my Tangerine statement?

No. The PDF is processed in memory to build the CSV and is never written to disk or retained.

+Is this service affiliated with Tangerine?

No. This is an independent tool with no connection to Tangerine. It reads a PDF you already have and never connects to your account.
