About Current statements

Current statements are short, app-generated documents with a clean single-table layout, which makes them straightforward to turn into a spreadsheet.

How to download your Current statement as a PDF

Open the Current app, go to Settings then Documents or Statements, and download the PDF.

Always take the statement file the bank issues rather than printing a transaction list from the browser. The issued statement is the document of record, and it converts more reliably than a printed page.

What a Current statement looks like

A brief summary is followed by a dated transaction list with merchant description and amount.

Current quirks to watch for

These are the details that break a copy-paste into Excel, and the reason a Current statement rarely lands cleanly on the first try:

  • Savings Pods transfers appear as internal movements.
  • Points and rewards entries are not cash movements.
  • Teen account statements are issued per sub-account.
  • US statements print dates month first, which is what a US-configured spreadsheet expects.

What you get back

Every Current conversion returns the same columns, in USD, so statements from different months and different accounts stack in one spreadsheet without rework:

DateDescriptionAmountBalance
2026-03-04CARD PAYMENT TO SUPERMARKET-64.202,481.19

Check the export before you use it: opening balance plus the sum of the amount column should equal the closing balance printed on your Current statement.

Why not just export from Current directly?

Use the direct export when it covers the period you need. It rarely does. Direct CSV, OFX and QBO downloads are usually capped at a recent window, while PDF statements stay available for years, and they are the only thing left once an account is closed. Converting the PDF removes the date limit entirely.

Frequently asked questions

+Are Pod transfers included?

Yes, they are exported as rows so both sides of the movement reconcile.

+Do rewards points show up as money?

No, points are not dollar transactions and are not exported as amounts.

+Is the Current statement converter free?

Yes. No signup, no email and no watermark on the output. The only limit is a 10MB file size.

+Do you store my Current statement?

No. The PDF is processed in memory to build the CSV and is never written to disk or retained.

+Is this service affiliated with Current?

No. This is an independent tool with no connection to Current. It reads a PDF you already have and never connects to your account.
