About Cash App statements

Cash App statements are a common headache for bookkeepers because personal and business flows mix in one ledger, and peer transfers carry only a name in the description.

How to download your Cash App statement as a PDF

Open Cash App, go to the profile icon then Documents, choose Account Statements, and download the monthly PDF.

Always take the statement file the bank issues rather than printing a transaction list from the browser. The issued statement is the document of record, and it converts more reliably than a printed page.

What a Cash App statement looks like

Statements list dated activity with the counterparty name, transaction type and amount, including Cash Card spending.

Cash App quirks to watch for

These are the details that break a copy-paste into Excel, and the reason a Cash App statement rarely lands cleanly on the first try:

  • Peer-to-peer transfers show a person's name rather than a merchant, so categorising needs context.
  • Cash Card purchases, ATM withdrawals and instant deposit fees all share one ledger.
  • Bitcoin and stock activity may be documented separately.
  • US statements print dates month first, which is what a US-configured spreadsheet expects.

What you get back

Every Cash App conversion returns the same columns, in USD, so statements from different months and different accounts stack in one spreadsheet without rework:

DateDescriptionAmount
2026-03-04CARD PAYMENT TO SUPERMARKET-64.20

Check the export before you use it: opening balance plus the sum of the amount column should equal the closing balance printed on your Cash App statement.

Why not just export from Cash App directly?

Use the direct export when it covers the period you need. It rarely does. Direct CSV, OFX and QBO downloads are usually capped at a recent window, while PDF statements stay available for years, and they are the only thing left once an account is closed. Converting the PDF removes the date limit entirely.

Frequently asked questions

+Can I use a Cash App export for taxes?

A converted CSV gives you every dated transaction in one sheet, which is what an accountant needs to split business from personal spend.

+Are instant deposit fees captured?

Yes, fees appear as their own dated rows.

+Is the Cash App statement converter free?

Yes. No signup, no email and no watermark on the output. The only limit is a 10MB file size.

+Do you store my Cash App statement?

No. The PDF is processed in memory to build the CSV and is never written to disk or retained.

+Is this service affiliated with Cash App?

No. This is an independent tool with no connection to Cash App. It reads a PDF you already have and never connects to your account.
