About Brex statements

Brex statements read like corporate card statements: heavy volume, many cardholders, and expense detail that has to be attributed per employee.

How to download your Brex statement as a PDF

Sign in at brex.com, open Statements, choose the period, and download the PDF.

Always take the statement file the bank issues rather than printing a transaction list from the browser. The issued statement is the document of record, and it converts more reliably than a printed page.

What a Brex statement looks like

Statements summarise the balance and payments, then list dated transactions with merchant, cardholder and amount.

Brex quirks to watch for

These are the details that break a copy-paste into Excel, and the reason a Brex statement rarely lands cleanly on the first try:

  • Cardholder names appear alongside merchant descriptions.
  • Rewards and statement credits are separate from spend.
  • Cash account statements use a different layout from card statements.
  • US statements print dates month first, which is what a US-configured spreadsheet expects.

What you get back

Every Brex conversion returns the same columns, in USD, so statements from different months and different accounts stack in one spreadsheet without rework:

DateDescriptionAmount
2026-03-04CARD PAYMENT TO SUPERMARKET-64.20

Check the export before you use it: opening balance plus the sum of the amount column should equal the closing balance printed on your Brex statement.

Why not just export from Brex directly?

Use the direct export when it covers the period you need. It rarely does. Direct CSV, OFX and QBO downloads are usually capped at a recent window, while PDF statements stay available for years, and they are the only thing left once an account is closed. Converting the PDF removes the date limit entirely.

Frequently asked questions

+Can I split Brex spend by employee?

Yes, the cardholder detail is carried through so a pivot table can group spend per person.

+Are statement credits included?

Yes, they come through as positive rows against the card balance.

+Is the Brex statement converter free?

Yes. No signup, no email and no watermark on the output. The only limit is a 10MB file size.

+Do you store my Brex statement?

No. The PDF is processed in memory to build the CSV and is never written to disk or retained.

+Is this service affiliated with Brex?

No. This is an independent tool with no connection to Brex. It reads a PDF you already have and never connects to your account.
